Ernest Shackleton, Trans Antarctic Expedition on the ship Endurance, 1914 - 1917.
1916 - Shackleton's men have been on Elephant Island for over 3 months hoping for rescue which they hoped may have come in about 14 days. Food is short and monotonous.
