Douglas Mawson, Australasian Antarctic Expedition on the ship Aurora, 1911 - 1914.
Edward Bage at the astronomical observatory Cape Denison. An excellent example of a small building for scientific purposes constructed with use-what-you've-got technology. A small quiet hut away from the main base where it wouldn't be influenced by any disturbances - very cold!
