Robert Falcon Scott, British Antarctic Expedition (South Pole Expedition) on the ship Terra Nova, 1910 - 1913.
1911 - Cape Evans, the dogs were left to wander during the winter and would accompany the men on moonlight or twilight walks at this time. They would hunt for seals and penguins, at least one was carried out by sea-ice and never be seen again. Watercolour by Edward Wilson.
