Ernest Shackleton, Trans Antarctic Expedition on the ship Endurance, 1914 - 1917.
1915 - Feeding time for the dogs in the long night of the Antarctic winter. When the ship was trapped in sea-ice "dog-loos" (igloos for dogs) were built next to the ship to give them more space and shelter.
Ernest Shackleton, Shackleton-Rowett Expedition on the ship Quest, 1921 - 1922.
1922 - The Quest visits Elephant Island allowing some former members of Shackleton's Endurance crew to reminisce about their time spent there before their rescue on the 30th of August 1916 - inclement conditions prevented a landing at Point Wild where the camp had been.
