Douglas Mawson, Australasian Antarctic Expedition on the ship Aurora, 1911 - 1914.
Mawson's ship Aurora anchored to an ice floe off the Western Base. Adelie and emperor penguins in the foreground. I like the way this conveys the isolation of Antarctica in an almost alien landscape.
