William Spiers Bruce, Scottish National Antarctic Expedition on the ship Scotia, 1902 - 1904.
1903 - The Scottish Antarctic Expedition land at Laurie Island, South Orkneys where they set up winter quarters building a stone hut named Omond House. This begins the longest continuous occupation of any station in Antarctica, 122 years so far and counting.
