Douglas Mawson, Australasian Antarctic Expedition on the ship Aurora, 1911 - 1914.
One of my favourite pictures of Antarctic sled dogs. The first dogs arrived in Antarctica on 17th Feb 1899 and the last were taken out on 22nd Feb 1994. They were instrumental in opening up the continent.
